How Does it Work?

Your Programme
The programme for your online French course is organised based on availability and the length of lessons required
Your Teacher
You will have the Sykpe/Zoom contact for your teacher plus their email address and they will email any documents necessary for your lesson. You can also email documents to your teacher
Choose your online platform
You can choose the online platform you wish to use for your lessons. Most of our students use Skype or Zoom but we also use Facetime and Whatsapp
Exam preparation courses
Many of our teenage students are working towards a French examination. Your course will be adapted to your exam objectives. You can email any work to your teacher before your lessons
Fun French online courses
Our younger students work on French conversation and vocabulary in a fun way
French for bilingual children
If you are raising your child in a bilingual environment but feel that their French could benefit from a little boost, regular Skype or Zoom lessons are a great and time-efficient way to do this
For younger learners
For younger learners, we recommend that you sit with them for their first lesson as they may feel unsure about how the lesson will go. Usually after 1 or 2 lessons, our teachers have succeeded in putting the children completely at ease and they probably won't need you to stay next to them!
Virtual French Summer Camps
Alpine French School usually organises French Summer Camps for students from all over the world. In the event that this isn't possible this summer, we will be organising virtual French Summer Camps so please check out our Summer Camp pages for more information about this!

We evaluate all of our students before enrolling them on a course to ensure that everyone is placed in a group of a suitable level. We also like to discuss students’ objectives for their course to ensure that everyone is placed on a course that suits their aims in French language learning.

I wanted to thank you for 2 lovely weeks in the French Alps and in my French school classes. You can’t control the snow and weather but you managed to produce just enough snow so I could enjoy my skiing vacation. My French class was a lovely break from the slopes each afternoon and gave my family a little time ‘away’ from mom. It was terrific – a lovely town – the apartment was beautiful and well situated for our walking needs…and our last night at La Grange was wonderful.

I hope you have a little break between winter and the summer visitors to enjoy a walk along the river (thank you tour guide for that great suggestion).
