Students on our Day Camp spend their mornings either in our spacious classrooms, in the grounds of the centre, or out and about in town putting their language into practice in the real world. The centre is spacious and bright and located in the heart of Morzine! For those who have visited our camp before, new for 2020, we have moved to a central Morzine location.
For students on the Day Camp and on the Residential French Summer Camp, lunch is served from 12h30-13h30. Students eat together in the dining room at a hotel next to our French Summer Camp Centre with our Camp Leaders. Lunch is a simple 2-course lunch, designed to be suitable for juniors’ taste-buds: a main course and dessert will be provided each day. Our French daycamp prices also include a morning and an afternoon snack and drinks during the day. Allergies and intolerances are catered for. Menus are designed for juniors and alternatives are offered if necessary (within reason).
At weekends and if students need to leave straight after their morning lessons to go to an activity, picnic lunches are provided if students are out on activities or excursions.
Students will stay in a study residence designed for study travel trips for juniors and teenage groups. The centre is managed by an experienced local family who have been welcoming school groups to the area for more than 15 years. Students are housed in en-suite rooms sleeping 2-4 people. Additional bathrooms are available outside of the rooms for those sharing with larger numbers of students. The centre is split into female/male corridors/areas and room-mates are carefully chosen according to age and interests. Family members of the same sex can choose to share rooms if preferred or be mixed with other students.
Our activity coordinators stay on-site in the student residence to provide supervision, to ensure a convivial atmosphere, to lend a sympathetic ear if needed. They are responsible for the pastoral care of the children, making sure they are clean, well-fed, well looked after and happy!
Internet access is available in the centre allowing easy contact with home.
Meals are provided on a full-board basis, with picnic lunch included if lunch is to be taken outside of the centre. The food is of an excellent standard and most dietary requirements can be catered for. Allergies and intolerances are catered for. Menus are designed for juniors and alternatives are offered if necessary (within reason).
