Summer Sporting Activities in Morzine           

Morzine is paradise for outdoor enthusiasts in the summer. With so many great activities to choose from, many of our students have trouble fitting everything in.

Mountain Sporting Activities

Hiking: Morzine boasts endless opportunities for hiking of all levels, with or without a guide

Climbing: numerous climbing sites and Via Ferrata routes are dotted around the surrounding area, climb with or without a guide.

Mountain Biking: Morzine is a mountain biking mecca, with downhill and cross country trails for all levels, bike parks and ski-lifts converted into mountain biking lifts to transport you up the mountains.

Paragliding: sailing in the azure mountain skies, paragliders descend from summits all around the area.

Water Sporting Activities

Canyoning: descend a river down waterfalls by wading, jumping, sliding and abseiling: a real adrenalin rush!

White-Water Rafting: sail down the rapids of the River Dranse in an inflatable raft with a guide explaining and helping along the way

Kayaking: as above but in a single or double kayak

Paddle boarding: try paddle boarding on the beatiful Lake at Montriond with its stunning scenery.

Other Sports Activities

Morzine is host to numerous other sporting activities, so that you can fill in any spare morning or afternoon with some sport under the mountain sun! Choose from the following activities… Morzine has worked hard and invested a lot of time and money in the infrastructure of the resort to offer top class sporting facilities to its visitors.

Tennis: at the tennis club with over 10 hard courts and 2 clay courts.

Horse-riding: at the equestrian centre in the Dereches Park, all levels and ages welcome.

Skate-boarding: at the new skatepark in the Dereches Park

Ice-skating

Swimming: at the stunning aquatic centre with indoor and outdoor pools, beach volleyball , water slides and lawns to sunbathe and picnic.

Road Cycling: an amazing base to explore some of the best cycling possible with famous Alpine cols, rides around Lake Geneva and much more

Trail running: choose from numerous trails, graded by level and length, multimedia and regular maps available

For the less sporty visitor

Morzine also offers many activities for the less sporty visitor and is a lovely place to just relax and enjoy a holiday!
