French Intensive Course: A Student’s Perspective

Why did you decide to take a French Intensive Course with Alpine French School?

I came here so that I could combine taking French lessons with skiing.

Do you live in Morzine or are you visiting the area? If you are visiting, why did you choose Morzine?

Visiting – the reason I chose Morzine is that there aren’t many language schools in the Alps.

How many weeks are you studying on a French Intensive Course with Alpine French School?

3 weeks

What do you most enjoy about taking a French Intensive Course at Alpine French School?

The classes are well structured and interesting. The timetabling and the hours of the classes allow plenty of time for other activities

What is your teacher like?

He is very knowledgeable and experienced and keeps the classes interesting. He is also very good at including lots of anecdotes and facts about France, French culture etc.

And the other students on your French Intensive Course?

Good, mixed group – we’re all at a similar level (ie well organised into ability groups)

Have you tried any activities in Morzine such as skiing or snowboarding?

Yes skiing,.

What do you do to try and speak French outside of the classroom?

I use French in restaurants and shops. I also watch TV and read the newspapers. I speak French with the other students in the evenings.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

The size of the school is good, there is a friendly atmosphere and the staff know the students. It is in a good location, very accessible.
