If you are visiting Morzine either for our Family or Day Summer Camp, or maybe as an adult student, you will be pleased to hear that there are many places to visit for day trips in the local area!

Chamonix Mont-Blanc

Chamonix is an infamous town and home to the highest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc. Chamonix is a great place for a day trip with so much to do….take a trip up the Aiguille de Midi for great views of Mont Blanc and over the mountains of Chamonix. Visit the Glacier des Bossons, take the Monteveners train, take a wander around the town, grab some lunch in one of the many eateries and do a spot of shopping in the great range of shops in Chamonix even including Chanel!

Annecy

A beautiful town located on the banks of Lake Annecy, a beautiful expanse of turquoise water, with the Aravis mountains as a backdrop. Annecy has a picturesque old town with narrow winding streets with canals running through them like a mini Venice. Wander through the picture-postcard streets, taste some local specialities, then head to the lake for a dip in the beautiful clear lake.

Yvoire

One of the oldest medieval towns in France, Yvoire is located on the banks of Lac Léman, known to many as Lake Geneva. A traditional walled town with winding streets, gelaterias, restaurants, arts & crafts shops. Sample the local speciality ‘filets de perche’, choose from the hundreds of flavours of gelato and wander through the picturesque streets doing a spot of window shopping on the way!

Geneva

Geneva, the financial capital of Switzerland is just one hour away from Morzine. A cosmopolitan city that is well worth a visit. The chic streets are home to designer shops, famous watch manufacturers and the city is well looked after and the Jet d’Eau makes a great show piece. In early August the Fête de Genève brings the promenade alive with stalls, including great street food stalls, fairground rides, live music and lots more.

Montreux
