Why choose us?

Our experience

With over 10 years of experience in language learning and school trips, our team represents a wealth of knowledge, ready to support your group from start to end. Our team is made up of bilingual staff who work with trusted suppliers and reputable partners to ensure every aspect of your trip meets your expectations.

Our teaching

At AFS, we ensure that each lesson focusses on interaction and engagement, all in an environment designed to challenge your students. Each session aims to reinforce the French syllabus, whilst helping students’ confidence to sky rocket, with a new perspective on how a foreign language opens doors.

Our location

Just an hour and a half drive from Geneva, Morzine is a safe, welcoming town in the French Alps. It is a charming French town with traditional shops and restaurants as well as a plethora of activities designed for children. With its unique setting, Morzine leaves students with lasting memories and valuable lessons.

As a standard, all of our teachers have a FLE, ‘français langue étrangère’ qualification. This is a qualification awarded jointly by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of Culture and Communication. FLE teaching encompasses the learning process of students learning French as their second language and aims to promote and guarantee high quality teaching for each student.

All of our teachers involved in our French language trips are native speakers of French, equipped with extensive experience in teaching children, from aged 5 through to 17.

Exam focussed trips

Here at Alpine French School, all of our teachers are fully trained to teach the latest exam syllabuses. Whether Edexcel, AQA or another exam board, we recognise the importance of specialised exam preparation trips and aim to offer the highest standard of tuition.

Cross-curricular trips

Geography and Geology

To complement your trip and involve cross-curricular elements in your learning objectives, we have the option to include afternoons with our expert mountain guide, focussing on geography, geology and navigation. Each afternoon is carefully thought out by our guide and designed to inspire children in a more practical way.

Spanish

We also offer additional Spanish taster sessions. These are ideal for children looking to study multiple languages at exam level, or for those in the process of deciding which language they would like to take further. Taster sessions are 45 to 60 minutes long, with a qualified Spanish teacher.

Extra curricular activities

Our partners are carefully chosen with safety but also adventure in mind. We build tailor-made programmes with local businesses in order to offer students memorable, mountain experiences. We partner with different activity providers here in Morzine who are each reputable, highly qualified and experienced.
