Take an Intensive French Course at Alpine French School and give your French a boost in a short space of time. Our Intensive French Courses are designed so that you learn through conversation. Nothing like being at school, our native-speaker teachers are carefully selected for their ability to bring the language to life, to inspire and encourage you – their students. We always hear laughter coming from the teaching rooms in our school when students are taking part in their lessons! Students leave at the end of their time with us feeling like they have achieved something; not only has their French improved but they have also built relationships with fellow students, teachers and other members of staff.
We are a small personalised school so each and every student is important to us! You are not just a number to us, we go out of our way to ensure that our students taking an Intensive French Course with us have an unforgettable experience and of course really improve their French. Are you looking for a summer or a winter course?
Laetitia Arnold came to study at Alpine French School during the winter season. She is Swiss and comes from the village called « Simplon » by the border with Italy. She is studying French because in the region she lives in many people speak French and she lives in a country where French is one of the official languages so it’s very useful for her job. She came to stay in Morzine to take a French Intensive Course with skiing as this is something she loves doing! She skis, (ski touring, cross country skiing, and downhill skiing). At home, she works in a ski resort you can only access by taking a ” téléphérique “. She does all the contracts and paperwork for the employees of the resort.
Pauline Low has been studying with Alpine French School this winter in March. She lives in Nigeria with her French husband who works there. She is studying French because her husband is French and she would like to be able to communicate better with her mother-in-law. Pauline came to Alpine French School to take a French Intensive Course with skiing. She took ski lessons every morning in a group with French people so she got to practice her French outside of the classroom too! Here is what she had to say about her time with us:
“I would like to leave a testimonial for my teachers Lucille and Boris…
Lucile introduces a lot of very interesting exercises to ensure that we are able to speak good French effortlessly. Her explanations are very clear and she follows up with us to ensure we completely understand the lessons. I look forward to her lessons and would recommend her to anyone who wishes to get a strong foundation of the language. Boris teaches French language using many fun games. He is able to integrate the students from various levels through his games and make the lessons very enjoyable. I learnt a lot of vocabulary and common phrases which French use in the one week with him. I wish Alpine French School the very best and hope to be able to come back soon!”
Amelia is a current Intensive student, an ex-professional athlete and a fitness/triathlon/swimming coach. She moved to France from Australia in 2012 after visiting the area on a triathlon training camp where she fell in love with the French Alps.
Living in Morzine year-round, she needed to improve her French to run her business and for everyday life. When she first moved here she was a real beginner, having done just 12 weeks of French when she was at school. She has taken several French Intensive Courses with us now and is now conversational in French. She says herself ” I am getting more confident with my French and try and practise my French as much as possible!”. Read more about her story here
