La rentrée: now is the time to book your French Intensive Course!

So in France what is known as ‘La Rentrée’ happened this week, so the children are all back at school and the summer holidays are over. Maybe you’re sad to leave your children at the school gates and get back to your normal routine, maybe it’s nice to have time to get things in order. Whatever your feelings on this, children all over Europe will be heading back to start school again for the new school year which means that parents start thinking about the future school holidays and also what they will do with some ‘freer’ time during term time!

We organise French Intensive Courses throughout the year at times that prove popular for our students to spend 15 hours a week working on their French. In the autumn, Morzine is in a low tourist season so the locals who work in the tourist industry like to spend this time to brush up on their French before the busy ski season! We run weekly courses in September and October followed by French Intensive Courses in November and December. These months are popular with locals but also with people arriving early in preparation for the ski season, maybe combining improving their French with looking for work.

During the winter season, we run Intensive Courses every week from late December to early April which is the same dates as the ski season in Morzine. Students get to ski in the mornings and then take a French Intensive Course in the afternoon from 15h-18h15. A perfect way to work on your skiing and your French at the same time. Come for one week or several! We can organise accommodation and ski associated services if required in addition to just your French Course!

In the summer, Alpine French School runs French Intensive Courses for adults and French Summer Camps for children and teenagers. This is an extremely popular time of year to visit the French Alps: sunny days, great activities, stunning scenery and to top it off, you get to improve your French at the same time. During the school holidays, we offer residential French Summer Camps, Day French Summer Camps or morning French classes for children from 6-18 years. We can also arrange family courses including a mixture of French courses, French Summer Camp and great activities.
