Half term is just round the corner and we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of families to Morzine for their annual ski holiday. Throughout both the French and English school holidays, we have lots of courses running that might suit you if you want to give your child’s french a little boost whilst they get to enjoy some fantastic skiing as well. We have all sorts of options available to you and can work around your ski holiday plans. Read on if you fancy adding an extra educational level to your children’s holiday this year.
Exam preparation courses
Perhaps your child has an important GCSE or A Level exam coming up this summer and you’re slightly worried about the grade they’ll get. What about signing them up for one of our exam preparation classes whilst you’re here on holiday? They’re fun and there’s nothing like learning a language in the country it comes from! Your child will be able to practice their language in restaurants, on the slopes, in the bakery and at the same time will develop a much better all round understanding of it. These classes can be scheduled to suit you and we can also tailor them to suit your child’s specific needs. Perhaps they’re struggling with their speaking or listening or perhaps they need a bit of guidance when it comes to verbs, we can help in whatever way they need.
Private or group tuition
Depending on what you think your child needs, we can arrange lessons to suit. Perhaps you believe your child needs private tuition to really help them get to grasps with a specific issue or perhaps you think your child will benefit from some fun group lessons with other children. Either way we are able to arrange whatever you want and will happily fit it around your busy skiing schedule. I mean we totally get it, skiing is the most important thing especially with all of the amazing snow we have!
All of our tutors have experience in teaching in the UK so really understand what is required for GCSE and A Level lessons. They have worked extensively in both syllabuses and are able to give your child a real advantage when it comes to sitting their exams. Our teaching can simply be tailored to help your child get the best scores in each area of their exam. Our teachers are bilingual as well meaning they can really help your child understand why things are the way they are in the French language.
Lessons for locals
We can also arrange lessons throughout the school holidays for children who speak French as a second language. If your child’s main language is English but you live here in Morzine (or elsewhere in France) and you find that your child’s French is falling behind a little, why not consider getting them some extra French tuition throughout the holidays? It’s a great opportunity to put some focus on their French without the added pressure of long school days. An hour or two with one of experienced teachers could make all the difference.
Like I’ve mentioned, we are completely flexible when it comes to the timing of your school holiday lessons. Whether you want early morning lessons or lessons in the evening after a day of skiing, we can accommodate whatever suits you. We’re also flexible when it comes to how many lessons you require. Get in touch today to add something extra special to your child’s half term holiday.
