What is the difference between the types of accommodation you offer to combine with an Intensive French Course?

Maybe you are thinking of taking an Intensive French course with Alpine French School and you need to arrange accommodation for your stay. We offer Intensive French Courses combined with great adventure activities such as skiing, snowboarding, yoga, climbing, hiking, water-sports, mountain biking, paragliding and with all that activity, it’s important to have somewhere good to stay!

Shared apartments and chalets

Our most popular choice of accommodation for students attending an Intensive French Course with Alpine French School is to stay in a shared apartment or chalet with other students. Modern and centrally located, our apartments and chalets are of a good standard and provide comfortable accommodation. We find that most people prefer this option because they can meet other students with whom they can participate in activities and have dinner with in the evenings. Students come from around the world, so the common language is French. The other main advantage of this type of accommodation is its central location. Within walking distance of the ski pistes in the winter and the activities in the summer, students can walk to and from school and their activities and can enjoy a drink or a dinner out in Morzine centre in the evening :) We offer a choice of shared or single rooms.

Host Family Accommodation

Some students really want to experience the ‘real’ France and therefore choose to stay with a French family while taking an intensive French course with us. This is a great way to be immersed in French culture, try French food, spend time with French people and get to know their way of life. However, since Morzine is a tourist destination, most local families live outside of the central area and often in the surrounding villages. This means that getting to and from school and activities is more difficult and it isn’t as easy to meet up with other students for dinner and drinks in the evenings.

Private Apartments

We have some people who come to take an Intensive French course with us but who travel with their family or friends. This means that they want accommodation with their family or friends and in this case, we can arrange private apartments. We work with Morzine Immobilier and More Mountain for this.

Hotels

If you are looking for a more luxurious option, we have a partner 4-star hotel who we work with. Run by a local French family and centrally located with great facilities, this is also a popular choice for students looking for more comfortable accommodation.
