5 things that make our French Summer School special

If you’re looking for something different for your children to do this summer then look no further than our French summer school in the beautiful French Alps. Although our focus is on helping children to develop their French we also believe we are a fantastic choice when it comes to finding something fun, unique and exciting for your child to do over the summer holidays. If you’re unsure of whether a French Summer Camp is for you, then read on. Here are the 5 reasons we believe ours is special.

1: The location

Our summer school is based in a village in the heart of the French Alps and you don’t get locations much more incredible than this! Essert Romand is situated right next to Morzine, a popular summer and winter holiday destination. It’s only 90 minutes from Geneva which means it’s simple and easy to get to us, yet it’ll feel like a completely different world when you do! Surrounded by snow capped mountains, crystal clear alpine lakes and endless green forests, your child will have a fantastic week exploring everything this beautiful place has to offer.

2: The activities

As well as French classes our summer school is packed full of amazing activities. We’re not just talking about games and fun on site but activities in and around Morzine that will really give your child a holiday to remember. We have Yoga and Zumba classes, hikes into the countryside, swimming at Morzine’s impressive outdoor pool, visits to the local beaches at Lake Geneva, canyoning, rafting and climbing, to mention a few! So although your child will spend time focusing on learning French, they will also have a lot of fun. They’ll make new friends and at the same time and try things they’ve never tried before. They’ll have the summer holiday of a lifetime!

3: The school itself

Our French summer school is based in a fantastic venue with everything your child needs to have a brilliant stay away from home. It’s a large spacious building with dormitory bedrooms and plenty of places for lessons and games. It has loads of outside space for sport in the sunshine along with its own swimming pool. The cantine is a great place for the children to meet and socialise, as are the games rooms and lounge areas. The location of the school is stunning with views of the mountains of Avoriaz to the front and a beautiful forest backdrop behind.

4: The teachers

One of the main reasons that our summer school is special is the amazing teachers we have employed to run it. With experience teaching both here in France and in the UK, our teachers really know what they’re talking about. They’re bilingual and will really be able to help your child gain a better understanding of French in a fun, lively and enjoyable way. They all enjoy the games and activities as much as the teaching so will build a great rapport with the children whilst also getting the most out of them in their academic work.

5: Our sense of fun!

We know that once your child breaks up from school for the summer holidays, it might be tough to persuade them to go back to the classroom and sign up to a French summer school. That’s why we make sure that fun is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s through our teaching style, the extra activities at the camp or the general atmosphere, we’re make sure we’re nothing like school. As well as learning and progressing their French, they’ll also have fun and magical summer holiday.
