French Summer Camp Chamonix

New for 2026: Alpine French School launches a French Summer Day Camp for teenagers in Chamonix

After more than 10 years of running successful and popular French Summer Camps in Morzine, Alpine French School launches a French Summer Day Camp for teenagers in Chamonix.

New for 2026, in July and August, Alpine French School will be welcoming teenagers to enjoy fun interactive French lessons in the mornings and adventure activities in the afternoon.

Morning lessons

In the mornings, children are divided into groups according to their age and level.  Our French native speaker qualified teachers ensure that each lesson is highly interactive and engaging, in a relaxed and motivating environment. Each session aims to reinforce the French syllabus, whilst helping their confidence to increase, giving a new perspective to their French studies. We also offer specific GCSE preparation groups within our Summer Camp. This tailored support boosts French skills needed for the exams that they will face. Our lessons focus on key exam areas with targeted practice and expert guidance.

We bring French learning to life with real-world experiences as part of the lessons. Our students put their French into practice during outings to local places such as markets, shops and tourist attractions. This encourages authentic conversations and students speak French to real French people!

Afternoon activities

What better place than the mountains to offer an amazing range of exciting adventure activities to help campers build confidence, make new friends, practice their French and create unforgettable memories in the heart of the French Alps. Afternoons are filled with fun outdoor activities like rafting, climbing, watersports and mountain activities.

Accommodation

Children attend the camp from 9am and stay with us all day until the end of the afternoon activities around 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. This allows plenty of time for a fun holiday as a family.  Students stay with their families in private accommodation in the Chamonix area: apartments, hotels, chalets….. We can help advise on suitable accommodation options. Some of our students have a holiday home in the area.

Our staff

All of our teachers are qualified French language teachers. They are all native speakers with extensive experience of teaching children and teenagers. We interview and fully screen all of our teachers, they then receive full training at the start of their time with us.  Many have worked with us for several years and are therefore experts in French Summer Camp teaching.

All of our activity providers are fully qualified, registered and experienced. Full safety briefings are given in several languages if necessary to ensure the security of everyone in every activity. We have ratios of activity leaders to juniors that are respected at all times. Alpine French School is a fully registered Tour Operator for Summer Camps.

Dates

Our Summer Camp will run between 6th July and 14th August 2026. Students attend the camp for one or multiple weeks.
