These teachers do so much more than teach grammar or vocabulary — they share culture, spark curiosity, and help learners build connections across communities. It’s a day to recognise their creativity, dedication, and the passion they bring to the classroom.
The official theme for 2025 is “Sing, Play, Teach — Francophonie in Music.” It’s a fun and inspiring reminder of how powerful music can be in learning French. From songs and rhythm to performance and movement, music brings the language to life, motivates learners, and opens a window onto francophone culture in a way that is lively and memorable.
International French Teachers Day is more than a celebration — it’s a reminder that teaching French builds bridges between people and cultures. The work teachers do every day makes a lasting impact, far beyond the classroom walls.
