Intensive French Courses this winter in Morzine

Maybe you living and working in Morzine for the season, maybe you are looking to visit Morzine this winter…. If you are coming to the area because you also love France and learning French and would like to improve your French while you are in the area then read on. Alpine French School has been running French Courses in Morzine since 2003. We offer a wide range of courses but a popular choice during the winter season are our Intensive French Courses.

A few years ago, based on student comments, we decided to change the time of our French Intensive Courses to 15h-18h15 to allow people to ski all day and then take a French Course in the afternoons when they come down off the ski slopes. Students can head into the school straight off the mountain if they want to get the most out of their day, we don’t mind looking after your skis or snowboard for you!

Our Intensive French Courses focus on speaking and listening skills and learning through conversation. Our teachers are all native French speakers and qualified teachers who know how to ensure students progress but have fun at the same time, even when they are tired from a day’s skiing!

We have spaces left on the following courses in the coming weeks:

Week commencing:

9th January (this week!): A2.3 Lower Intermediate and B1-B2 Upper Intermediate
16th January:A2.3 Lower Intermediate and B1-B2 Upper Intermediate
23rd January:A2.3 Lower Intermediate and B1-B2 Upper Intermediate
30th January: A1.3 Elementary andA2.3 Lower Intermediate and B1-B2 Upper Intermediate

If you aren’t sure of your level, this little table might help:

Elementary (A1.3)

You practise how to put your sentences together and ask complex questions. You learn how to use most verbs in the present in more complex sentences and if time allows, you start looking at how to speak in the past.

Lower Intermediate (A2.3)

You want to speak in the future, in the past and present with confidence but you also need to learn more tenses as you struggle to say things such as ‘he was running when I saw him..’ ‘I was watching telly whilst they were playing’.. You want to start using simple pronouns such as: You give me, I speak to you, etc…

Upper Intermediate (B1-B2)

You are comfortable speaking in all tenses but want to practise being more precise when talking about your life and also practise the intricacies of French language. This course is designed to develop your skills further but also covers situations you come across in French and in France.

For those of you who have a different daily routine and these times don’t suit you, don’t worry, we have plenty of other options available: One to One French Courses, Individual Intensive French Courses, Weekly Group French Courses and Budget French Courses…….
