Top 10 Restaurants in Morzine

We often get asked for restaurant recommendations and of course, to a certain extent this is somewhat subjective. Also restaurants change from year to year, some improve, some stagnate. But here is a little information about some of our favourites….

Restaurants for dinner or a nice lunch

  1. La Chaudanne

With a lovely traditional restaurant with a varied menu, enjoy a beautiful meal in a beautiful setting! Also with a wine bar in their wine cellar for a cosy drink in the winter, and a beautiful garden and terrace for sunny days.

  1. La Rotonde

Located in the centre of Morzine near the Tourist Office and ski lifts, this restaurant has recently been taken over by new management and boasts and beautiful garden and great menu with local specialities

  1. L’Etale

A great choice for a lively evening out with good food in a fun atmosphere! A huge choice, everyone will find something to their taste!

  1. Le Clin d’Oeil

Down at the lower part of Morzine town, this restaurant is run by a couple who are originally from the South-West of France. They regularly change their menu and add daily specials so that you won’t get bored of their selection. We especially like their steak and hand-cut chips as well as their South-West specialities!

  1. Le Vent d’Anges

A more traditional French restaurant run by a lovely local couple who take great pride in their food and service. A small lovingly-designed menu and an intimate setting make this a good choice if you are looking for something a bit different from the other restaurants in Morzine.

Mountain Restaurants

  1. La Cendrée, Pléney

Next to the childrens’ ski garden and at the foot of the Pléney slopes, the Cendrée is a great place for lunch during your day skiing especially if you taking lessons as it is so handy! Great ‘plat du jour’ plus local specialities, salads, kids menus and much more.

  1. Le Tremplin, Pléney

A favourite après-ski hangout with great bento-box style meals and other options.

  1. Le Petit Lindaret, Les Lindarets

A renovated mountain chalet offering great local specialities lovingly created by chef Lionel. Organic food and drinks also available, and delicious goat’s cheese salads and other amazing meals!

  1. La Terrasse, Les Lindarets

Also in Les Lindarets, this popular restaurant offers great service and great food!

  1. Chez Flo, Avoriaz

Opposite the Prodains cable-car, this large mountain restaurant is a long-standing popular choice for a hot chocolate or beer stop while skiing, a quick bite to eat or a long lunch. Run by Flo and her professional team, a great mountain restaurant.
