Contrary to popular opinion, the French Alps only have snow for part of the year! This is during European winter months so generally December to April. Usually the snowfall starts in late November/early December and sometimes we receive a lot of snow in the early part of the season and some years less so. Luckily, Morzine is linked to Avoriaz, which is a high altitude resort with a great snow record. Some lower ski resorts don’t have the luxury of being linked into one of the largest ski areas in Europe!
However, outside of the winter season, or sometimes at the start of the season, there are often periods when there is no snow and luckily Morzine has a lot to offer!
Of course, being a language school, this is an obvious thing that spring to mind! Why not make the most of your time in France to improve your French? With a variety of courses and activities on offer, you could use our time wisely to work on your language skills!

If the snow is thin on the ground, ski shops also hire road bikes and mountain bikes and you can explore local routes and even take bikes on some ski lifts to enjoy some downhill mountain biking!
Mountain Rehab has opened a new fitness centre with spa and treatment rooms. Year-round, seasonal and holiday memberships are available.
