Who attends our French Intensive Courses?

This is a common question that we asked by students looking to book a French Intensive Course with us. It is natural that people want to know more about the people they will be studying with on their French Intensive Course, so we try to answer these questions as thoroughly as we can!

Many people want to be reassured that fellow students on their French Intensive Course will be of a similar age, 20-year olds don’t relish the thought of being in a class of 65-year olds – and vice-versa! Something else that people like about studying a language is meeting people of different nationalities and from different countries. We welcome students from all over the world to Alpine French School making for a good nationality mix on our courses.

Depending on the time of year, the profile of our students does change somewhat. During the winter ski season, our students tend to be 20-35 year olds who are either living and working in the area for the ski season or just visiting the area to study. During the summer season, we have this profile again but also we have older adults visiting the area for French + Hiking courses or sometimes parents visiting the French Alps during their summer holidays and their children sometimes attend our Junior French Summer Camp.

Our French Intensive Courses attract students from all walks of life, from authors to international athletes and professional skiers and snowboarders! So you never know who you might get to meet in your class, but one thing you can be sure of is that your teacher will create a great environment for you to get to know them in!
