I don’t think any of us still expected Covid to be interrupting our travel plans over 1 year on……yet here we are approaching summer 2021 with continued travel restrictions and uncertainty about travel. Each country is dealing with the situation differently and travel restrictions are likely to vary from country to country this summer.
France is hoping to be able to welcome tourists with testing and vaccination certificates possibly put in place. Morzine already operated as a resort last summer with Covid restrictions in place and the summer season was a great success. With great medical care facilities, testing in the pharmacy’s and readily available at the various doctor’s surgeries, Morzine is well equipped for the current healthcare situation.
The outdoor nature of the activities in Morzine means that most activities are still possible even in times of covid restrictions. The sparse population means there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the outdoors and keep a safe distance from others. All accommodation providers have strict cleaning procedures between each group to help keep you safe and we offer a range of self-catered accommodation which is the most popular way to holiday at the moment. Morzine’s wide range of great restaurants have been offering take-away services when they can’t open so you can relax and not have to cook every night!
Alpine French School ran French Summer Camps last summer and French Intensive Courses for adults. With small group sizes, social distancing, mask wearing and a carefully designed and thoroughly tested protocol, our courses were a great success with all who visited us in Morzine last summer. We welcomed children from 5 to 17 years along with adults of all ages and most agreed that there aren’t many better places to be at the moment!
Once again, we are offering flexible booking conditions on our holidays and courses for this summer. If you are interested in coming to visit us this summer, you can also enquire with no obligation to book and decide at a later date based on your country’s travel restrictions once these are decided for the summer.
In the meantime, why not check out our online courses to keep up your French until you can come and see us in person? Find out more here
We hope to be able to say ‘Bonjour’ in person very soon :)
