Morzine is known around the world for incredible bike park, natural single track and so called ‘secret’ mountain biking trails. It truly is one of the best mountain biking venues in Europe. At just over an hours drive from Geneva International Airport, Morzine is easily accessible which is another good reason to choose the Portes du Soleil for your mountain biking holidays.
Ride out of your Morzine chalet and you can be on the brand new Pleney lift in a matter of minutes. The new high speed lift features 54 spacious, 10 person cabins which transport 2800 people per hour to the Pleney summit at 1500m alt.
From there, riders can drop straight into a vast number of diverse trails. From high-speed bike park tracks with man made berms, laced with jumps and technical features, to natural single track and loamy trails weaving through the Alpine woodland to the valley floor. From the top of the Pleney you can also traverse over to Les Gets and access many more great trails in the neighboring resort. Check out this webcam of the Pleney to see what current conditions are like.
On the opposite side of the valley, you will find ‘Super Morzine’. Only a stones throw from most Morzine chalets, the Super Morzine lift will take you into the main Portes du Soleil mountain biking area with access to more than 650kms of trails, making the PDS one of the biggest MTB areas on the planet!
