1. What brought you to Morzine?
Originally I moved to Morzine for the winter snowsports but I soon fell in love with the area and I love being in Morzine all year round
2. What did you do for work when you first arrived?
Initially I worked as a chalet host for a tour operator in Morzine then as a Resort Rep, then Resort Manager, then Operations Manager for a transport company before setting up my own business.
3. What do you do now?
Now my husband and I run our own business together called
Mountain Lets, we specialise in letting self catered accommodation in Morzine but can tailor make holiday packages for our guests to make sure they have the best holiday possible.
4. Do you have a family living here with you?
I live here with my husband, son and our dogs but I do feel that we have a fantastic support network from our lovely friends which feels like a big extended family. Our parents do frequently come to visit and spend a lot of time here with us when they can.
5. What do you like about living in the French Alps?
There are many things that I love about living in the alps! The scenery is spectacular yet we are still within easy reach of family in the UK, I love the distinct change in the seasons through the year, I love snowboarding and I am learning to ski, I love the summer weather and the amount of activities available, I love the swimming pool complex in the summer, the lakes, the walks, I love the relaxed French way of life and I love being able to run my own business.
6. Is there anything you miss from home?
Mainly I miss my family but we still get to see them a lot
7. Do you speak French?
I speak French but still take lessons with the Alpine French school in order to improve different aspects.
