Learn French + Hiking: what to expect
You will arrive in Morzine on a Saturday and have the weekend to settle into your chosen accommodation and have a wander around the beautiful Alpine town. On Monday you will start your French and hiking course with a morning French Lesson. You can read more about the sample hiking programme below. We can also offer more challenging hikes for the more adventurous amongst you. All of our hikes are lead by a local French guide who will explain about the mountains and what you see on the walk. This is also a great opportunity to practice your French outside of the classroom by chatting to the guide during your walk.
French lessons run every morning from 9h-12h allowing you time to grab a quick bite to eat in one of the many cafés and restaurants after your lessons before heading off on your hike. Students are split into classes according to their level of French so that classes are relevant to their level and objectives. We always include plenty of conversational activities and our focus is on speaking and listening skills and making conversational activities a priority. Our teachers enjoy keeping up to date with all the latest ideas in education and are constantly developing new fun lessons to ensure that students progress as much as possible while enjoying their learning with Alpine French School. Our French Intensive Courses include 3 hours of tuition per day with a coffee break. Your hikes will finish late afternoon, leaving you plenty of time in the late afternoon and evening to soak up some sun and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in Morzine or at your accommodation.
