French Summer Camp in France: Family Camp

Families often want to spend their holiday time together but they are still keen for their children to improve their French, meet other children and enjoy the French Summer Camp experience. Often the parents are also keen to improve their French while spending some time in France. This is why we invented our Family French Summer Camp. So how does it work?

The children

Children of 6-17 years old can attend our French Summer Camp. They arrive at the camp at 9h in the morning and attend 3 hours of French classes in the mornings with a 30-minute break to have a snack and a drink, get together with other students and play outside to burn off some excess energy! At 12h30, campers head to the dining room for lunch where they will learn some French vocabulary related to mealtimes, or the more advanced levels can try out some simple French conversation with other students and activity leaders. After lunch, the French Summer Camp activities start! With a varied activity programme, campers spend afternoons trying out many different mainly outdoor activities in French such as volleyball, swimming, summer sledging, hiking, spongeball, water games, treasure hunts, obstacle courses and joining in other activities that Morzine may be organising. At 17h30, parents collect their children, leaving time to enjoy the summer evening as a family. Our camp lessons run Monday to Friday, also leaving weekends free for family excursions and activities.

The adults

Parents come to us with varying expectations of what they want to get out of a French Family Camp! Some want action-packed, some want intensive French, some want rest and relaxation. So we let the parents pick and choose the parts of the French Summer Camp that they want to take part in…..they can choose from:

Morning activities such as hiking, climbing, white-water rafting, canyoning, mountain biking, adventure park.
Morning time to relax, explore the area, relax at the pool, a mountain lake or on the sunny terrasse of a café.
Afternoon French intensive courses. We run French Intensive Courses from 14h-17h15 making the perfect combination of having enough time to dedicate to French studies, but enough time for some rest, relaxation or time to enjoy the mountains before collecting the children from their French Summer Camp at 17h30.

The accommodation

Choose from accommodation in a self-catered chalet shared with other students, an independent apartment or a hotel.
