French Summer Camp: Day Camp or Residential Camp?

The February holidays are over, hopefully the weather will turn spring-like in the not too distant future and our thoughts start to turn to our summer plans…. And for those of us with children, this means 6-8 weeks of holidays to plan! Children need a break from school, but they also need a lot to do to keep them entertained during the long break.

Our French Summer Camps have become increasingly popular with people looking for something educational yet fun for their children during the summer break. Our programmes are constantly evolving based on the feedback we receive each year from campers, parents, teachers and camp leaders to offer more choice each year.

We don’t only offer a residential French Summer Camp, but also Day Camp and Family formulas. You can choose to enrol your children from the age of 6 years old on our Day Camps and we accept children up to 17 years of age. Children can be enrolled just for the mornings from 9h-12h30 or for full days from 9h-17h30 where they have lunch at the centre and then join in the varied afternoon activities. The idea of the full-day option is that it allows juniors the chance to try out their language skills outside of the classroom while taking part in some cool activities.

For parents, this means that they have some time to explore the area, try some mountain activities or even take French courses themselves in our adult school just down the road. We also arrange accommodation for families if required in either family rooms, private apartments or hotels.

For those looking to try out mountain activities, we also offer an “Option +” Scheme where juniors can add additional activities to their week such as a selection of Adventure Activities, Mountain Biking, Tennis or Horse-Riding. Juniors take part in these activities in addition to the regular activities!
