French Summer Camp: a resumé of our different options

If you haven’t yet finalised your plans for the summer break 2018, we still have a few spaces remaining on our French Summer Camp. Alpine French School set up their French summer camp as a response to growing numbers of juniors contacting us about studying French and enjoying some of the great activities that Morzine and the French Alps have to offer. Dates available are from 9h July – 19th August 2018. So what does it involve:

French Summer Camp: Residential

If your children are between 12 and 17 years of age, they can travel without their parents to take part in our Residential French Summer Camp. Teenagers stay in our French Summer Camp centre and are roomed with children of a similar age and supervised 24/7 by our French Summer Camp Directors and Actvity leaders who live on-site. Students attend morning French lessons during the week followed by a choice of afternoon activities including Adventure activities or our ‘Discovery & Creativity’ programme. In the evening, they take part in what the French call ‘veillées’, which are fun activities organised by the activity leaders either at the French Summer Camp centre or in and around Morzine. At weekends, they explore the local area with a Saturday excursion to either a French château or a medieval village both on the shores of Lake Geneva. This is followed by an afternoon of watersports at a lake-side beach. On Sunday, campers enjoy an adventure activity day! An action-packed schedule which certainly keeps them busy and all in French

French Summer Camp: Day Camp

Children of between 6 and 17 years of age can join us for our French Day Camp. From Monday to Friday, children come to the camp from 9h until 17h30 attending French lessons in the morning, having lunch with the other campers and then enjoying great activities in the afternoons: Adventure, Discovery & Creativity or Horse-riding.

French Summer Camp: Morning Camp

Some children just join us for the French lessons in the morning and this is an option which suits some families better as they like to spend some time together in the afternoons. In this case, they attend the camp 9h-12h30 Monday to Friday.

French Summer Camp: Family Camp

If you are a parent and thinking of sending your child to our French Summer Camp but would also like to improve your own French, then why not sign up to a French course yourself too? We offer a choice of private or group French Intensive Courses of several different levels and this is a great way to meet other people and improve your French too while your children attend the camp! We also arrange adventure activities for adults such as mountain biking, hiking, white-water rafting, canyoning, paragliding or you can simply relax in the sun or by the pool with a good book and relax :)
