Then our French immersion course based in the traditional French village of Castillon La Bataille in the Dordogne, near Bordeaux is the answer! A week’s stay in wonderful surroundings with an exciting itinerary incorporating lessons and activities will help you to learn or improve your French whilst having a great holiday. The French immersion course is designed to maximise your learning potential but also to be a sociable event. Your days will include:
- 3 hours of dynamic, interactive French intensive tuition.
- Traditional French and cultural activities all designed to challenge and practice your language skills whilst exploring the local area.
- Round off each day with pre-dinner drinks followed by a 3-course dinner.
Tuition
Our French classes are based on speaking and listening skills provided by our experienced French teachers. Your group will be made up of students of a similar level enabling you to practise and improve your French language skills using different proven approaches. We provide interactive, modern, communicative lessons that keep learning relaxed and students motivated. Our teachers have a genuine interest in helping students learn foreign languages to enhance their personal and professional lives.
A typical lesson on the French Immersion Course will include:
- Conversational warm-up activity
- A listening or reading activity in groups or 1 to 1
- Continual work on vocab, pronunciation and language skills
- A coffee break!
- An interactive exercise to get students using the new language
- A game (such as a team quiz or a board-game) to give students the opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt.
Accommodation
Half-board accommodation including pre-dinner drinks and wine with dinner will be provided at Chez Castillon, a beautiful large 18th Century townhouse with en-suite accommodation, swimming pool, terrace and south-facing sun drenched garden.

Prices start at 1500€ per week including half-board accommodation with wine, 3 lunches and activities.
Flights to Bordeaux or Bergerac airport are not included.
