Welcome to Alpine French School!
Alpine French School was originally set up in 2003 as Lost In Translation. We offer a wide range of traditional French courses, including Intensive French courses, Weekly Group Lessons, Conversation Classes, French Skype Lessons and French Summer Camps. We also offer recommendations and support with booking sporting activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, climbing or multi-activity options. If that sounds too active for you, Morzine is a great place to relax and rejuvenate in the beautiful Alpine scenery!
Our experienced, qualified, native-speaker teachers specialize in making your learning fun while ensuring your progression. Our multicultural, dynamic team have a wealth of experience of working with different nationalities. They will be on hand during your stay to answer any questions you may have and to help you make the most of your stay with us. We are a fairly small personalised school which means that we can really look after our students and supervise their progression and enjoyment of our courses.
We are a government recognised training provider so French business owners and staff employed on French contracts are able to get subsidised language training.
Morzine: location and accessibility
Morzine is located in the French Alps, 1-hour from Geneva which is easily accessible by air and train from all over the world. From Geneva we can provide a link to our partners who can arrange transfers to and from Morzine.
Morzine: the village
Morzine is a picturesque traditional mountain town which is also a ski resort in the winter and a summer holiday resort in the summer months offering a huge array of sports. A true Savoyard town which is kept very traditional through a strict planning regime. The vibrant and charming town offers great facilities including restaurants, cafés and wine-bars, cinemas, an indoor-outdoor swimming pool complex, tennis courts, an ice-rink and too many activities to name! Reception and Opening Hours
The school is open for lessons from 08h00-20h00 Monday – Friday, except for public holidays (jours fériés)
Reception hours are 09h00-12h30 and 14h30-17h30 Monday – Friday during summer and winter seasons and 09h00-12h30 during inter-season periods (May, September, October, November). Our school is closed on public holidays (jours fériés) except for 14th July and 15th August.
