Welcome to Alpine French School!
Alpine French School was originally set up in 2003 as Lost In Translation. We offer a wide range of traditional French courses, including Intensive French courses, French online lessons and French Summer Camps. We also offer recommendations and support with booking sporting activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, climbing or multi-activity options. If that sounds too active for you, Morzine is a great place to relax and rejuvenate in the beautiful Alpine scenery!

Our teaching
At AFS, we ensure that each lesson focusses on interaction and engagement, all in an environment designed to challenge you whilst building confidence. Each session aims to build on the previous, whether that may be conversation, grammar or more. Our experienced and understanding teachers are perfectly placed to support you in learning.
Our location
Just an hour and a half drive from Geneva, Morzine is a safe, welcoming town in the French Alps. It is a charming French town with traditional shops and restaurants as well as a plethora of activities designed for children and adults alike. With its unique setting, Morzine leaves our students with lasting memories and valuable lessons.
Our students
Our school welcomes hundreds of students each year from a huge range of countries. From our youngest students aged 5 years old, all the way up to our retired students, the mixture of cultures and experience makes for a welcoming and multicultural atmosphere. In your lesson, you may find yourself partnered up with a stock broker and the next day with someone working in the United Nations. Children also have fantastic opportunities to have their horizons broadened, discovering new cultures and languages throughout their experience.
