Where were you born and where did you spend your childhood?
I was born and spent my childhood in the Loire region of France in the “vignoble nantais”. I come from a small town called Vallet near Nantes.
Why did you come to live in Morzine?
I came to Morzine to work here as a French language teach but also to try life in the mountains! Of course, I also want to discover and explore the region and perfect my skiing!
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I like travelling and discovering new places. I also like meeting new people. Otherwise I like cooking, reading, going to the cinema and to concerts.
When and why did you start teaching?
I started teaching French in 2006 as a teaching assistant in the USA. I always loved languages and it seemed natural to choose to teach my mother tongue language.
What is your favourite restaurant in Morzine?
My house because my boyfriend is a chef and we love cooking and trying out new recipes together!!
What is the best place you have visited on holiday?
In France, I would say Brittany which is a magnificent region and well worth visiting! I also love the Basque Country which has a combination of sea and mountains. Overseas, I’d strongly advise going to visit the Philippines. It is an incredible country or exceptional beauty where the locals are unbelievably kind.
What do you enjoy most about teaching languages?
I like to have the feeling that the students have enjoyed the course and learned something useful that they can use outside the classroom. I love hearing students talk amongst themselves in French and using what they learned in lessons.
What advice would you give to French students?
French is quite a difficult language but not impossible to learn so you need to persevere and not get discouraged ;-)
