Our French students don’t like to study French all day-long, and there is lots of fun nightlife in Morzine to enjoy! From the more traditional events organised by the tourist office such as fireworks displays or the torchlit descent to après-ski and nightclubs, Morzine has something for everyone!
Hotel Le Tremplin is located at the foot of the Pleney slopes in the centre of Morzine and has become a firm favourite for Après-Ski. A large selection of events and DJs throughout the season.
Lively for Après and in the evenings, Tony has been running Le Tibetan for many years and it is a popular hang-out for locals and tourists alike.
A late night bar which also does après, the Cavern opens for après but then doesn’t usually get going until well into the evening and is open until 1am or 2am depending on the time of year. Be prepared for mayhem, crowds and dancing!
A popular restaurant that also offers après-ski with live music on their covered heated terrace. L’Etale is also a bustling brasserie style restaurant with a large menu and a fun atmosphere, l’Etale is run by a local ‘Morzinoise’ Vincent Baud.
A popular bar located in the centre of Morzine, run by a great team of French guys.
a popular wine bar right in the centre of Morzine that is always busy, serving good wine, bar snacks and pizzas. Often the only problem can be finding a table!
An old favourite for après-ski. Run by an old Morzinois couple, this bar serves the lethal Mutzig beer plus other basic drinks. Don’t expect anything fancy but a great atmosphere and a popular hang-out from 4-8pm!
Big-banging music dropped by some of the best international DJs in the business! Fill your ears and stomp your feet from aprés till the small hours in the beautiful Portes du Soleil ski area. Embrace the snow, sun and musical mayhem that is Basscamp.
A nightclub located under the Etale restaurant. Doesn’t get going until well after midnight and stays open until dawn, so for the real party animals! Be warned, drinks are expensive, it’s best value to buy a bottle of spirits to share between friends and you get free mixers. Often the entry price includes one drink and cloakroom is usually obligatory.
We all know speaking French becomes easier after a few drinks! Just make sure to drink responsibly, and that you’re not hungover for your French lessons the next day!
