We spend a lot of time talking to parents throughout the booking process for our French Summer Camp and one thing that we explain is how our day works at the French Summer Camp so we thought we would write a blog about this based on a day in the life of student attending our camp on a residential basis.
Weekdays:
We have different programmes for weekdays and weekends. During the week, our students take French lessons every morning and at weekends we like to have a more relaxed pace. This is how it works in practice…..
h00 Breakfast: after getting up, dressed and ready for the day, campers meet for breakfast with our French Summer Camp leaders.
h30 Campers have some time after breakfast to get ready for lessons to start. They can pop back to their room, do their teeth and get their things ready for the day.
h00 Morning French Lessons start. Students start French lessons at the camp in groups organised according to age and level.
h30 Breaktime: French Summer Camp students get the chance to relax for half an hour mid-morning, meet up with friends in different groups and to have one of the drinks or snacks that are provided for them.
h00 Morning French Lessons recommence: back to ‘work’ or fun for the 2nd half of the morning. Our teachers do their best to make the lessons fun and engaging
h30 End of Morning French Lessons and time for lunch!
h30-13h15 Lunch: campers have lunch with our Camp Leaders and are encouraged to at least try anything new that they might be cooked! We try and keep the food French but not too unusual so that campers can sample new things but also find many familiar foods to fill up on!
h15 Free-time, preparation for afternoon activities, private French classes
h00 Afternoon activities start: campers head off for their chosen activities for the afternoon
h30 End of afternoon activities & free-time or the chance to go into Morzine
h00 Dinner
h30 Evening activity: fun activities organised by our Camp Leaders!
h00 End of evening activity and time to get ready for bed ready for another day!
