Morzine: location and accessibility

Morzine, home to our French Language Summer Camp is located in the French Alps, 1-hour from Geneva which is easily accessible by air and train from all over the world.  From Geneva we can provide a recommendation for transfers to and from Morzine.

Morzine: the village

Morzine is a picturesque traditional mountain town which is also a ski resort in the winter and a summer holiday resort in the summer months offering a huge array of sports, perfect home to our language summer camp.  A true Savoyard town which is kept very traditional through a strict planning regime. The vibrant and charming town offers great facilities including restaurants, cafés and wine-bars, cinemas, an indoor-outdoor swimming pool complex, tennis courts, an ice-rink and too many activities to name!  Read about Morzine’s history here

Morzine – the surrounding area

• Lakeside beaches: why not take a trip as a family to one of the many lakeside beaches, sunbathe and take a dip in the clear turquoise waters of our many beautiful lakes
• The beautiful medieval town of Yvoire is 45 minutes away and a popular choice for one of our weekend excursions for students on our Residential Summer Camp or for families to visit.
• Evian is just 45 minutes away, home to Evian water and a picturesque town on the banks of Lake Geneva

Morzine: weather at our language summer camp

Summer: in the summer temperatures range from 25°-35°C but it can be colder first thing in the morning and in the evenings, so you will always need a light jacket.  We get a lot of sunshine and the occasional thunderstorm!

Morzine: Transport

Morzine is a small town so most places are accessible by foot.  However there are free buses around the town plus a bus that links Morzine with the surrounding villages which costs around 1,50€ per journey.
